First Sub-Pixel Autoguide

Filed under: Animations, Software, Sun — Dave @ 8:35 am

DSSR now has a sub-pixel autoguide module as standard. This allows for very fine corrections to be applied to the telescope mount for rock steady video capture.

Solar active region expert Ken was the first to test this new module and here is a preview still from the time-lapse video he is constructing. Click for the full size frame.

Here is the video – very nice capture Ken. Right click on it to turn on looping so you can check out the detail.

ps This new guide module also makes DSSR suitable for deep sky work.
