DVS Test Update

Filed under: Animations, Software, Sun — Dave @ 9:04 am

WSO guru Kev has compiled a very nice time lapse animation showing how DSSR and DVS can work together. He captured and guided with DSSR and then stacked the individual videos to produce enhanced time-lapse frames.

He then produced aligned animations using DVS and another professional package. You can see his unaligned, DVS and pro animations below. Note that the pro package uses sub-pixel alignment whereas DVS currently only aligns to the nearest pixel.

Note also that most of the jitter in the unaligned video is caused by the stacking programs and not by DSSR’s tracking.

DVS sub-pixel alignment is currently in development and the next comparison video should be a lot closer.
