Extreme test of Dave’s Video Stabiliser

This is an initial test run of DVS on some old solar time lapse video. The original video is here and it is very jittery to watch. This is because it was taken with the scope manually guided. Also, several gaps were introduced because of the Sun passing behind low trees.

This video was run through DVS and the result is here.

You can now watch the action in the main prominence which was used as the anchor point.

This shows that DVS can cope with rotating videos like this which are captured by Alt-Az telescope mounts. It can also accept rapidly changing anchor points such as prominences or sactive regions.
